Citizens for Democracy is to strengthen civil society development and enhance the contribution of non-governmental organizations to social justice, democracy and sustainable development. We pay special attencion to the activities conected to the couneracting all forms of hate speech, particulary in the Internet.
According to the Council of Europe definition, hate speech covers all forms of expression which spread, incite, promote or justify racial hatred, xenophobia, anti-Semitism or other forms of hatred based on intolerance, including: intolerance expressed by aggressive nationalism and ethnocentrism, discrimination and hostility against minorities, migrants and people of immigrant origin.
Here we want to share with you the actions taken against hate speech within Citizens for Democracy programme as well as in a broader perspective of the whole country and Europe.
