Donors

The programme is financed under European Economic Area Financial Mechanism (EEA Funds).

These funds are the contribution provided by Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein to 15 European Union Member States from Central and South Europe in order to reduce economic and social disparities in the European Economic Area countries. Except from Poland, beneficiaries of this support are: Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Greece, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain.

Part of these funds has been dedicated to support the development of civil society and the increasing participation of NGOs in building social justice, democracy and sustainable development. In Poland, the amount of funds for the NGOs is EUR 37 million, making it the largest program supporting non-governmental organizations operating in all 15 EU countries.
